Calling all ... Water Towers?

A conversation:
Sophia: Look Mommy! What is that?
Me: It's a water tower
Sophia: I love water towers!
Me: yeah...they are very cool
Sophia: I want a water tower
Me: you want a water tower?
Sophia: Yeah...I want one in our front yard?
Me: um, no peanut. I don't think that we can have a water tower...especially in our front yard.
Sophia: mommy, will you call papa chuck e cheese (Artino)?
Me: sure, why?
Sophia: I want to ask him if he will buy me a water tower!

From then on she has been obsessed with water towers! She loves them. While in Michigan and Ohio we took pictures of some ( there were TONS of them) of the water towers that we saw and are making a picture album of all of them for her. SO...if you think about it, please send us a picture of the water
in your town!

Tumbling & Tumbling

Sophia took a tumble this week and got a nasty bump on her head. She was so tough! After a few tears and a Popsicle with daddy, she recovered very quickly. When I asked her what happened she said "I was just tumbling and tumbling and I could not stop!". This was not her first "owie" and I'm sure it will not be her last!

Life as we know it.

Has anyone seen one of these things? This is a portable watchtower of some sort that was brought by the Charlotte PD to the parking lot of the Wal-mart near our house. Why was this portable guard post necessary you ask? Well, I'll tell you - because Charlotte was out of GAS! I'm not sure if you heard about this on the news and just glossed over it - but rest assured it was real and it did affect us. A week ago Monday I waited in line at this Wal-mart from 8:30-10:30 just to fill up. The line for gas continued until yesterday and even still we only have one level of Gas at many of the stations. It has been a weird experience and not one that I can encourage you to ever partake in.

Speaking of the past week. Piper has done a lot of growing up...here are the things that have popped up quickly:
  1. Piper is crawling better and sitting up on her own.
  2. She is pulling herself up up on the couch, bathtub, and crib.
  3. Piper is cutting her first tooth.
Sophia just wants to go to school.

My babies!

I love my girls! I have the best job EVER!! I am constantly amazed and entertained. I love the time I spend with them and would not trade it for the world. That being said...i gotta go back to work, Nap time is over! :)
