Graduation and Invasion.

Graduation was this past weekend. A couple of my students that I have been working with for 3 years graduated yesterday and so it was bitter sweet. There are more in the class of 2008 that I will miss than any class in my previous 5 years of teaching. I have enjoyed this year so much. Thanks for the picture Polly:

(Left to Right) Dean Hardy (Bible teacher to the max) , David James, Robert Eichorn, Me, (Dex, Sirc, Jmitch)
We were also blessed to attend parties for Daniel Andrews, Brooke Molitor, and Danielle Gendron. These were wonderful times for us. I think that Emily and I both feel extremely blessed to be a part of teaching high schoolers b/c it constantly reminds us to slow down and enjoy these days with Sophia and Piper. As was quoted often and in various ways this weekend by numerous dads and moms - "it goes so fast". Thank you parents for allowing me to be a part of your kid's lives.

So this may just appear like a wreath - and if you thought that's what it was then you would be only partially correct - this, our friends, is a battleground. For some reason we are now the Ritz Carlton for the birds in our neighborhood. We are constantly having to remove nest from this new wreath. This time, however, the birds are building in both the top and bottom. So right now, I am going to get up and go take another picture to add to this one and see if they have built in the past hour...

I return - not the slightest bit disappointed. They are building and building fast. With whatever means they can track down. We are not allowing them to build this time (if you wonder why - see this post)

For those of you who read this just to get pictures of the girls - a video is coming tomorrow that will knock your socks off! But for now, I leave you with the girls:

I love the pics of the girls. Good luck with the birds. We just encourage them to our neighbor's yard.-Sprinkle bird seed over there when they're not home. I hear it works well:)

that sounds like a stellar idea...

perhaps the birds are just drawn to the baby - like there is some sort of baby aura around here...
