This is going to be the definition of a mixed bag:
You see that thing up there? You see it? A couple of days ago a trainer at Emily's gym told her that she should get a jump-rope and jump 10 minutes a day. Emily suggested then that I do the same. I tried it and felt like an idiot. I could only jump for about 30 seconds straight if I was lucky - this due to my being out of shape and lacking coordination.
My gut instinct was to get mad at the rope. My contention was that it was not weighted enough and if I just had a better rope it would have gone smoother. But the reality is that it has very little to do with the rope (maybe some?) but has everything to do with me. I think I do that all too often - blame my inability on things outside of me...anything other than me. So, not only have I resolved to jump-rope 10 minutes a day - but to also look inside first and then at my circumstances.
On a slightly less serious note - Emily and I have come up with about 4 different ways to jump-rope. Through some observation we found that I had a highly inefficient jump.

We are thinking about purchasing a new digital camera...does anyone have a digital camera that they really love or hate? Leave us a comment and let us know so that we can make a good decision or avoid making a terrible one.

Piper update as of a week ago: 13lbs. She isn't sleeping through the night yet, but has made great strides in that direction.
It is crazy getting to know her and even crazier thinking about the fact that she wasn't even here 3 months ago! We can't even remember life without her and yet she is so young. Happy 3 month birthday popcorn!

In case you didn't know - this is the best show on television. Watch it. I will write more about why later - but case in point - we just went from a tribal dancer in formal dress (a little TOO formal) to an amazing tap dancing blonde girl.

We just got the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS - I think that's everything - and are really liking it so far. It was between that and the Nikon D40. We went for the smaller now - maybe will do the Nikon eventually. The Canon takes fantastic video too.
And - I second, third, and fourth your opinion that SYTYCD is the greatest show on TV. I live for it!
i agree with veronica, from what I can tell the Canon Powershot is the best consumer level camera
