Pushin' Up and Eating Out

When you become a parent there is an unspoken license to state the obvious and not have it held against you. I will exercise this right now: Piper is growing up before our very eyes. She just turned 3 months a couple of days ago and surprised us the other morning when she was rolled over on her stomach in her crib! Since then, her turning over has been a little like a comet (you know what I mean? You know it exist, but see one rarely). So this has brought about some increased tummy time and during this tummy time we have seen her strength:
On the flip side of things - Sophia is showing more and more personality. This morning she asked me to fix one of her favorite breakfast items: scrambled eggs. But then she began to move her table and chairs out onto the deck so that she could watch the birds while she ate. I was working in the kitchen making pancakes for em and I.
She would call me out: Dad, DAD! (yelling like her hair was on fire)
Me: What Soph? (seeing that the hair was not on fire)
Soph: Nook at dat bird! Wass he doin' Dad?
Me: He's a woodpecker babe - he's peckin the tree.
Soph: Oh... Wass he doin' Dad?
Me: He's a woodpecker Soph - he pecks on stuff with his beak.
Soph: OOOOHHHH....Wass he doin' Dad?

This went on for some time until I told her that I needed to check on the pancakes. This is not only limited to birds but to almost anything that her eye finds. She will ask what is happening, we will answer, and she will ask again - so on and so on. I've tried to turn it into a game for myself to explain it different ways every time - but after about 7 times, I run out of synonyms.

We went to go get pics taken of the girl today at Picture People. It was a great experience. I really like the people there and we were really happy with the pics that we got of the girls. These were the first of the girls that we have gotten taken professionally.

Some time this week I am going to start a new section called "Sophia Geddes" - Sophia has started taking pictures with the camera and believe it or not she has captured some of the greatest photos of Piper, Emily, and I. Grant it, there has been a lot of feet, torsos, and carpet - but all in all she understands how to use a camera and use it well.
