Myrtle Beach Day 1 and 2

Day 1: Arrival at 4pm. Followed by a quick cruise around town to find beach access and the Kroger. Em and I remembered the fried chicken at Kroger being wonderful - our memories let us down. So we left the Kroger and went to the brand new Super Bi-Lo and picked up some groceries for the week. We arrived home, ate some dinner, and went to the pool to relax.
Day 2: Woke up and headed to the beach around 9:30. We talked to a resident at Barefoot and found that if we just kept going straight we would run into public parking. God smiled on us and we got the last available space. Consequently, next time we go - we want to rent a golf cart because they are considered street legal in Myrtle Beach apparently. They are given priority everywhere. Myrtle Beach is a great beach.
We had a fun time playing in the water and collecting shells - although Sophia didn't really understand which shells to pick up and which to avoid. Due to Bertha being off the coast - the waves were big and strong...

We headed back to the "New House" as Sophia called it and took naps and then headed out to Barefoot Landing for dinner. We eventually ended up at River City Cafe after looking at several different places. This is one of many restaurants owned by a group called the Divine Dining Group. This is an interesting group b/c they have 11 different restaurants and are only located in Myrtle Beach. River City Cafe is a really laid back/kid friendly place and as you will see from the pictures below - you can write anywhere you want in the place. Nothing is off limits - even the giant play place that they have! Sophia loved this restaurant and made many new friends.
After dinner we headed to the carousel across the way and Sophia had a blast with it. Then we headed home and crashed.
