Myrtle Beach Day 3 and 4

Day 3: We woke up early and headed out to Walmart to purchase a sand anchor for an umbrella. We also purchased two of those grass beach mats which turned out to be a great buy. The umbrella was a must today as it was hotter due to there being less cloud coverage than day 2. The bumbo seat also came in handy for Piper. She sat contentedly and watched the people and waves and felt the wind on her face. She quickly fell asleep both days after just a brief period of time in the water and on the waters edge.

Sophia and Em enjoyed "fighting" the waves together which was quite enjoyable to watch. Sophia and I also built some wonderful sandcastles (and consequently destroyed them).
After the beach we headed to Jersey Mikes and got a giant sub which we scarfed down and then took naps. When Soph got up from her nap, she begged and begged to go to the pool so we relented and went down there. We met some people there who suggested a restaurant for the evening at Barefoot Landing called Umbertos (Pittsburgh-Italian Trattoria). Em swore that she new the guy running the joint - who asked us when we came in: "What can I do for you guys?" It was a wonderful meal.
After a great dinner - Sophia expressed her desire to go on the carousel again. During her time in line she jumped up and down with excitement. She chose to ride a giant chicken this time and loved it the entire time.

Day 4: With checkout at 11am we spent the morning packing up and saying goodbye to our "new house". It was a very fun first family vacation.
