Our Family is Getting Bigger!

During the weeks leading up to our now infamous Myrtle Beach trip we told Sophia over an over again: "When we get back, the Passy is going bye bye." This would elicit all sorts of responses. At times she would be totally ok with it - telling us that Passies are for Babies and she is a big girl. Other times brought major tears, and still others a terse "No!".
We were good to our word and the first day back we headed into an evening of passy-less sleep. This passy-less sleep, of course, was preempted by a slew of emotions: first came the tears, then the emotionally distraught attachment (HOLD ME!), then the chatty cathy. While the first two have subsided - the chatty cathy version of bedtime Sophia can still be purchased at any major retailer. Every night since - she will talk and talk and talk at bedtime. She sent Em on a wild goose chase of ages asking first how old Em was and ending up asking how old her door was. While chatty cathy is wearing thin - the bottom line is: NO MORE PASSY!
As a reward (and hence the title of this blog) we got a fish for Sophia! This was a rather anti-climatic trip as she was more fixated with the cats than anything. We landed on a red beta-fish which has been christened: Dorothy.
